A Beautiful Noise - The Neil Diamond Musical Nashville Theatre reviews
Tool at Prudential Center February, 26, 2022
After the first 2 songs, there was a loose black net draped down in front of the stage, but it was drawn aside. I was impressed to see that Chocolate Chip Trip really is a drum solo, and all the effects are controlled by Danny, who had to stand to adjust the computer on two occasions. When they first came out, there wasn’t much banter with the audience, but that didn’t bother me. Maynard spent most of the show on the platforms to the left and right of the drum kit, where the spotlights weren’t on him. When intermission came, there was a timer on the projection screen counting down the 13 minutes until they came on again. The other three started off kneeling or sitting center stage, which was a nice switch because Danny was still at his kit when Culling Voices began. They don’t exactly rush from one song to the next.
